How long is the warranty period for my electric scooter?
Your vehicle has a limited warranty period of 24 months or 20,000 kilometers (whichever comes first). Warranty covers parts, repairs, and product manufacturing defects, including the battery. The warranty period starts from the date of delivery or first registration, whichever comes first. (Some models offer extended warranty options.)
How much is the insurance cost for the vehicle?
Insurance costs depend on various factors such as age, driving experience, and past driving records. The price of insurance for electric motorcycles is comparable to gasoline-powered ones. If you need advice regarding insurance services, we can assist you and introduce you to our insurance services for quoting. The starting price from third parties is HKD 900 per year.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
When do I need to pay the remaining balance? The deposit is 25% of the vehicle's purchase price (guests must pay the deposit to confirm the order). You are required to pay the remaining 75% balance before registering the vehicle.
Do electric scooters require maintenance?
While you no longer need to worry about changing engine oil, oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, coolant, and refueling, electric scooters still need regular maintenance to ensure safety and vehicle longevity.
What are the public charging options in Hong Kong?
For electric scooters with removable batteries, you can simply charge them at home. All of these scooters are compatible with standard 13A sockets with charging cables. If your scooter does not have a removable battery, you can use public charging stations (as of June 2021, Hong Kong has 4,362 electric vehicle charging stations for public use). Note: Not all public chargers are suitable for electric scooters.

How long is the battery lifespan
The lithium-ion battery is highly reliable and durable. With proper maintenance, even after 1000 charges, the degradation rate remains low. We will provide you with all the information on how to maintain the battery, as well as the manufacturer's guide for proper battery care that comes with each scooter.
How often should I charge my batteries when not riding for a long time?
If the vehicle is not used for an extended period, it is recommended to charge and check the battery within a month. When the battery level is low, it should be charged promptly to ensure optimal performance. If the vehicle is not used for an extended period, it's advisable to check the battery charge status every month. If the battery is low or near depletion, it should be charged immediately. This helps maintain battery health and prevent over-discharge.
Make sure to use the correct charger and follow relevant safety guidelines during charging. For any specific questions about your vehicle or battery, it's recommended to refer to the vehicle manual or contact the manufacturer directly for the most accurate advice.
During the riding process, will it actively shut down? Is there a possibility of the vehicle shutting down automatically?
In normal riding conditions, Ninebot electric scooters undergo rigorous testing before leaving the factory and won't experience automatic shutdown. However, in extremely rare cases, there might be delayed shutdowns if insulation failure, thermal runaway, or other significant faults occur. If the dashboard displays any vehicle faults, you should immediately decelerate, safely pull over, and contact after-sales personnel for repair. Alternatively, you can call the customer service hotline at 6348-0048 for further assistance.
What should I do if my phone cannot connect to my scooter through bluetooth?
If your Ninebot scooter is not unlocking via Bluetooth from your phone, follow these steps:
1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and try enabling the "Unlock by Bluetooth" feature through the Segway-Ninebot App.
2. Disconnect the battery connector and hold down the Auto (Power) button on the scooter for 25 seconds. Reconnect the power cable while still holding down the button until the dashboard lights up. Use the provided NFC card to unlock the scooter, then release the Auto button to reset the Bluetooth function.
3. Uninstall the Segway-Ninebot App from your phone and reinstall the latest version from the app store. Pair it again with your scooter.

What should I do when my dashboard shows an error code?
If you encounter fault codes during riding, immediately stop riding and refer to the vehicle manual for the listed codes. Check the vehicle's appearance and functions for any abnormalities. Some functions might activate self-protection measures temporarily, causing the vehicle to stop. Simply wait until the vehicle returns to normal before resuming your ride. If the fault code persists, visit a service center for inspection.
What should I do if the seat cannot be closed?
If you're having trouble closing your seat, check if anything is obstructing the seat lock. Clear any obstacles and try pressing the unlock button to open the seat. Then attempt to close the seat again. If the problem persists, we recommend contacting our service center for assistance.

What are the wide-ranging policies for electric motorcycles in Hong Kong?
The government announced the first "Electric Vehicle (EV) Roadmap for Hong Kong" on March 17, 2021. The roadmap outlines the long-term policy goals and plans for promoting the use of electric vehicles and the necessary supporting infrastructure in Hong Kong. It sets the direction for Hong Kong to achieve zero-emission vehicles by 2050, aligning with the city's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and moving towards a vision of "Zero Carbon Emissions, Clean Air, and Smart City." As part of the roadmap, the first registration tax for electric motorcycles and electric tricycles is fully exempted. This means that there will be no first registration tax imposed on electric motorcycles and electric tricycles between April 1, 2018, and March 31, 2024. This measure aims to encourage the adoption of electric motorcycles and tricycles as part of the efforts to promote cleaner and greener transportation in Hong Kong.
